Is there any STARDOCK SUPPORT

Friday, November 11, 2011 by Snakew | Discussion: Stardock Support General

Is there any Stardock Support? I Renewed my Object Desktop Ultimate in Mid September but Impulse or whatever its called now still says my subscription is expired you can't phone Stardock about this anymore  so you send emails but no one responds so what the hell is Stardock Support a figment . This is not the way Stardock worked years back .

You should sign into Stardock.com Store here  https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products

You will find all your software that you have purchased listed there.  Impulse was sold awhile ago to Gamestop.

The link Philly posted is correct.

You can get updated about product registrations here:  https://forums.wincustomize.com/409931

I can confirm that they're both correct, Impulse will no longer function with new purchases and renewals.  What is your ticket # in our system?  We've had issues the past week, so I do apologize for the trouble.

Not only that several mails to support pushes your ticket to the back of the queue. So it's always best to just send one e-mail and then wait for a response.

Okay, a Moderator, Support person and three members from the community is some pretty good response.

I thank the community members for their reponse.

You are somewhat correct that this is a good response but why did I not get reply from emails sent weeks apart over the last month from  Stardock themselves who I purchased  from asking for their support directly to solve the problem.

This should  have been by looked after by a simple reply with the above suggestions then I would not have had to complain about lousy support on this Forum to get some sort of a response.

Also maybe Stardock should post that Impulse is useless to use for updates which I have  not seen posted unless i missed it somehow

It still works for those whose subscriptions haven't been renewed since the sale.....and yes there's a sticky HERE that covers the current situation.

Snakew is there any chance that the email got caught by a Junk Mail filter or could it be a case of multiple emails?  It sometimes happens, not saying that's what happened here.

The more important question is did you use the link in reply #1 and does your expiration date show correctly?

snakew, I don't see any tickets with your WC email address.

If you sent it in with a different address, let me know in a PM or what-have-you.  Or give me the ticket #.  I'd like to find out what went wrong (and let you know . .  and try to prevent it for next time).

I rather wish it was removed from my Impulse set completely.  It's just confusing.

I only received 1 reply stating your email has been filtered with various reasons why but I checked and my email met none of exclusion criteria and that was the only response I ever got and that came after I complained on forum interestingly enough

I may be wrong, but I believe you can uninstall the Impulse installed software and then reinstall from the Stardock Store andbe done with Impulse now.

Correct me if I'm wrong Zu.....

I would correct your mistake if I could . . but I can't.

Migration form the two systems (2.5 with the new Stardock Central) really doesn't exist.

I uninstalled everything using Impulse on all my machines and then uninstalled Impulse and re-installed from the store page.  No problems, no worries.
