When I first saw this I said nah...no way. Then I read the article. See for yourself. If you could would you go for a piece of that rock?

That's cool...but diamonds are overrated.

I've never been a fan of diamonds, or gold. Now if they found a planet primarily comprised of amethyst, that would be a different matter. Mmmmm, purple!

The semi-precious stones are really worth more than the diamonds which are a totally artificial market. They are also more beautiful imo and have 'personalities' ... diamonds are vanilla.

I couldn't have said it better, Doc. Plus we can make diamonds that are better than the ones nature produces, and diamond has far better uses than being stuck on a ring LINK

It's reckoned that diamond semiconductors could operate at 81Ghz. Imagine that in your PC!

Yeah but can you get 'em that big? A diamond so huge would make all else pale in comparison.

A diamond so huge would only be any use if Unicron was planning to propose.

That's spelled Unicorn, Starcandy... no real point, though.

Amen to that. Besides, having a gemstone ring is much more personalized and unique, that carries way more meaning than some big fancy diamond rock to try to show up the Joneses.
