windows blinds gone haywire!

i have the ALPHA OS skin and it has been working fine for a while now, however today when i started up my comp it had reverted back to win98 classic skin ?? so i went into windowsblinds under appearance and changed it back to Alpha OS but it came up with the error msg "an exception occured while trying to run 'shell32.dll,Control_RunDll desk.cpl'" now this has got me stumped! wat can i do?

One thread will suffice, and you might want to change your nickname, that's not a very nice choice considering that this site traffics millions of people from all around the world.
