Download limit

Hey everybody,
some people might know me i´ve been a member to WC the past couple of years,
and i enjoyed reading the topics and overviewing the skins and the art thats been posted here.
I also downloaded over the years, (my grand son bought the OD description and uses windowblinds.)
I dont have windowblinds on my own and i dont have it installed but thats not the only thing thats interesting on this page like i mentioned above there is tons of interesting threads you can read some of them more informative than others but that makes a huge part of it for me visiting WC.
You can get help for computer based problems software based failures and much more.
Im the quite type i dont post much I read more.
I reached my download limit couple of years ago i think it was in the first two years here on wincustomize while everything was new for me.
I didnt dared to ask back then if someone could reset it but now its becomming quite annoying to always ask if someone could mail me a wallpaper or a icon that you want to use.
So i wonder will my download limit ever get reseted ? Or do i have to create a new account ?

IIRC or unless it has been changed, I think the limit is 500mb and it is not reset after a year. The only way to get more is as Doc said, get a sub to WinCustomize(almost painless and a real bargain) or purchase SD software. (Which gives you one year of downloads unless it's an ODNT sub.) Then you can download as long as your sub is current.

Why not join and help support the site for great artists like CarGuy1? You clearly enjoy the site from what you're written.
That would be so much more appreciated than asking others to help you not follow the rules (3.e and 7 of the TOS the way I read it https://www.wincustomize.com/terms-of-service )?

Rolocolor I think your misunderstanding neone6. There are download limits for a reason and not everything in life is free. No one gets special treatment and sometimes if you want something you have to pay for it.

Just a reminder - "sharing" other artist(s) work from the WinCustomize Galleries is a violation of the Stardock/WinCustomize TOS. If you wish to "share" your own work then that is your prerogative.

To me the !!! and the bakery thing sounded more like a benefit gig where you jump in and throw something into the room so you get noticed regardless what the whole topic is about... I know that not all in life is free and there are actually some things you can pay for bc there good but then again i make skins for free and share them. If i did understand you wrong there neone im sorry. B but im very sensitive when my family comes into play and also i have decent respect for members that have a lower user number than me be it a visitor or a member i see it like the age in RL i respect the elders even if they r mental.
I will look into BK´s problem and will read the user agreement and TOS over again...sorry to start your weekend off like that PS: I know Hankers dont worrie

PrincessKiara...Since your profile shows you to be a visitor I assume your using the DeskScapes trial.
If you purchase it your status will change to Current Customer and you will be intitled to unlimited downloads for 1 year. You can then download all of my Dreams you like as well as all the others from the fine artists in the Dream Gallery.

You're not going to be very happy with the answer. You're a Visitor, not a member or current customer. You haven't purchased any software nor a WinCustomize subscription.
Therefore, the amount of material you can download is limited to a certain amount per year. It won't be reset until the date of your joining comes up OR until you purchase a Stardock product or a Wincustomize subscription.
The reason for that is that WinCustomize costs money to run. Less than half of this cost is defrayed by subscriptions to the site. The rest is provided by Stardock.
While it's true that WinCustomize and the artists creating wallpapers and skins advertise and show the use of the software and undoubtedly some of the software sales is due to that, maybe even most (I don't see the figures) we are not self sufficient.
Therefore, the people who pay for subscriptions for the software and the site membership get unlimited downloads as a privilege of membership and to encourage Visitors to become Members in a nice way.
So, I invite you to purchase a subscription to the software and/or the site...
