Great idea. I think many skinners will participate next year. I personally know some who made some great icons for GUI Champs 2010 but unfortunately they didn't had the chance to show them to the people.

Quoting Hankers, reply 16That can changeTrue enough. This is my third stint with them over the past decade or so. Just goes to prove they have good taste.
Not necessarily.... Just means you can bribe your way past the guards and use Jedi mind tricks.
Truer wrods....

Seriously, I think it would be great. .. with plenty of notice.
I hope so, some of those icons were REALLY good last time!
Each of the entrys were worth pointing out and its just a stunning event where all kinds of cultures meet another for me that means a lot of diffrent styles and many potential Ideas its like going to a tattoo convention .
And a YES
about the Chinese icon makers it will be incredible flying wacom pads everywhere very

Another GUI Champs would be wonderful!
I can imagine the quality of the stuff that would come out.

Brad always has these while I'm an employee and cannot participate.
I think he does it just to taunt me.
Or to spare us.
edit - Hey! Maybe SD employees can enter as 'non-contestants' put stuff up that wouldn't compete for prizes, but as artists doing it for the love of just doing it and to be part of the effort? Up to Brad, I guess... but why not? Won't be a burden on the judges... since they wouldn't be competing.

I know it's not a Stardock product, but could Rainmeter be included?

You have my full support as an entry or in a helping capacity which I would then not enter any skins anything I can do to help make it happen!!!!

Quoting Zubaz,
reply 15
while I'm an employee and cannot participate
That can change.
ROFLMAO!!!!
I'd be in if there was a category I could compete in. (Don't say it, guys.)
My vote is to have it, with or without me.
DX isn't gonna happen, but maybe I can try a category that will be included.
Who knows, maybe even a second blind.
