Where Are We From?

The term "Alien" has no meaning

Tuesday, August 9, 2011 by DrJBHL | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

OK... no DNA found. Just nucleobases found in meteorites since the '60's,

"Meteorites with components of DNA have been found since as far back as the 1960s. However, it was always unclear as to whether the DNA building blocks were created in space or if they came from contamination on Earth. Now, for the first time ever, scientists have three lines of evidence confirming that the DNA in the meteorites actually originates from deep space." - Geek.com (ext. link)

Again, no actual DNA found. The reporters didn't understand the article well...

So what are the 3 lines of evidence?

1. The nucleobases found are similar to but not identical with the ones found here on earth.

2. The meteorites tested were found in the Arctic and in Australia and the earth from those places had no nucleobase analogues in them.

3. The nucleobase analogs were probably formed from reactions with Hydrogen Cyanide gas (quite plentiful in space) and confirmed by reactions done in the labs of those who published these findings. This tends to confirm that the source of the nucleobase analogues was extraterrestrial.

So where's RavenX when I need him? I hope he's well... and not in pain. Doc waves to ya, mate! You haven't been forgotten.

All this just made me think of him and of:

And is this tied to S&P?

I'm from Brooklyn.

starkers was hatched when a buzzard flew over Oz and pooped him out.

DrJBHL was invented by Hippocrates.

Jafo was the buzzards pilot.

Sidneysiders stepped in it.

2of3 didn't add up.

WebGizmos still resembles it.

Nimbin forgot the patent #.

Phoon phoned home and got a busy signal.

Navigatsio was the first navigator hence his nic.

Snowman cried when the glaciers melted.

Tazgecko is waiting for the warmer months so he can go fishing.

Wizard 1956 had the answer but his avatar stole the magic wand.

So where did we come from......disneyworld and where are we going bonkers

Well I have it from a very good source that I 'started' in Pennsylvania, was born in New Jersey, spent some time at varies locations and now live in New Mexico.  I didn't think the witness protection program would move me so much.

It was a Pterodactyl, actually... and boy, was it tough breaking through that egg shell.

Could have used a jackhammer but they weren't invented yet.

Philly is 'The Witness'. The program needs protection.

Should have dl'd it from heavy equipment, duh.

Me... well I was born at a very young age in a place called Brixham, which is in Devon, England... from whence I migrated to Australia in 1969 and became a dirty old man at a young age.

However, I believe my origins began in the vastness of the galaxy.  I keep having vivid visions of a place that has 3 moons on the horizon, and it's like I've been there before but I can never quite make out the street signs so can't say from whence my ancestors originated.

Maybe one day I'll know it all... not that anal probes are something I wish to learn about.

mmmmm ... fisshhhinnng

Mind you, I just went hiking in a storm with gale force winds and around 100mm of rain... Goes to show that life can be created but intelligence is a rare thing.

What is this "we" stuff?

Stand up, go cross your house/apartment and go through that rectagular thingy in the wall - aka 'a door to the outside'.
Look around, and you may just see other bi-pedal creatures looking rather much like yourself.
They are called 'humans'.
You may also see creatures with four or more legs. They are called 'animals'.

Combine those two groups, and you get 'we'.

You're welcome.

Oft' mentioned in fable and folk lore ... but there's no real evidence of sentience extant.

Thanks. But i am not into combining myself with animals. What you do on your time behind that rectangular thingy, is your own business. Let me guess your mother is a mermaid, and your father is a centaur?

Actually, his father is a cyclops... however, they don't get on because his old man is one-eyed about everything and would argue the leg off an iron stove.

Horsing around? Sounds like a fishy question.

Snowman grouped us with the rest of the animal kingdom. I would have included every living thing... but that's just me.

Nope, I was laser-sculpted, in Antarctica, under a fullmoon by Chuck Norris on a dinosaur riding a shark.

I'm sure glad Zubaz didn't write that sentence....
