OK...so I got a 'nuvva computer

A friend was after a Lappy to sit on her lappy so she could browse the net...chasing up her home town [Amsterdam], etc ...so I went off with her to the local 'Laptop Zone'.
Found a second hand one that looked too good to pass up....
....and there were two of them, so what-the-heck I got one too.
Acer Travelmate 6592 ....cost $295 AUD with a bag thrown in.
They're identical ....though now mine's had the XP Pro replaced with a quick trip to Technet and a Win7 64 Ultimate.
So I went hunting on the net to see a little more of what it was/is/does .... and found that the RRP in 2007 was $3199 in oz.
Kinda cheap at half the price...as they say...
I think that 'TravelMate' is apt...only if you're Arnie....cos it's not all that light.
Fun to play with, though...
Geez you can get some cheap stuff sometimes...

You are spending that lottery money wisely, I see. "Slightly Used" and inexpensive can serve just as well as "Brand-spanking New" and it's "politically correct" to recycle to boot. Someone took a loss when they sold the lappy and you gained! Well played!!

It's in pretty decent nick, too....doesn't look like it had a lot of work....probably some business job-lot that weren't all actually used....

Back then that would have been about right.... a lappy with similar specs, about $699 these days.... and somewhat lighter, too.
