Compatability issue with yahoo messenger 11
Sunday, July 17, 2011 by JuniorCrooks | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I have not seen this addressed so thought I should bring it to all you WB skinners attention in case your not aware of it. Yahoo Messenger 11 is not displaying properly. See the 2 pictures. One is with WB unloaded and the other is loaded.

RND and I were getting that as well as connect issues with voice calling. I rolled back to version 10 an the desktop and version 9 on the lappy (9 has no video calling). You can get older versions from filehippo, HERE. I saw no significant changes in version 11 that justified using it.
Personally, I'd like it if WB skinned Messenger completely. I've used it since Messenger8 and the included skins are very lacking.

IIRC, RND tried that but it didn't help. Messenger isn't normally skinned by WindowBlinds. Until version 11 it skinned itself ok, now it looks as if it occasionally wants to use some WB and some of its own graphics.
I'm using the beta of WB on Win7/64 and the release version on XP. Both had the same issue with YM11

Thanks for the info. I just noticed that there are some blinds it seems to work ok with. I am using Daily now and its working fine with it.
I always used yahoo too wizard but lately I have found skype to be better for communicating with my wife overseas. I still use it though so i might roll back to version 10 or try what Snowman said.

OK I can confirm that Snowman's suggestion worked for me at least. You have to unload WB and start it again for the change to work though. Now I can use any blind and yahoo is not all messed up. Thanks Snowman. ![]()

How funny, Me and my baby didn´t switch Messenger until yesterday and you adress the skinning problem here now...First thing I noticed and It was very annoying since we had a bit of bad luck with msn.... How do you exclude a program from being skinned ? And while we´re at it, are there more software that doesent work well with WindowBlinds for my future reference ??

Neone6 not sure about any other program as YM has been the only problem I experienced so far.
Excluding a program is easy. Just open your settings in WB and click on per application. There you can add any program you want to exclude.

Most likely easy "fix": Exclude it from being skinned.
