Possibly a problem with your Graphic card drivers.....you need to be sure that you have the most up-to-date drivers installed.....

It's also possible that you're using a skin file with some nasty errors in it, I know that's caused me some fun in the past.

try lowering the hardware acceleration on your graphics card. if this fixes it then it is almost certinally a video driver issue

well these are my symptoms.
Ram gets sucked up a lot by window blinds.
I have 256 MEgs of Ram
I get Crashes a lot when using window blinds or even more when I use window blinds with control center.
I am using 800 mhz P3, win 98 se, 256 Megs of Ram, 60 gig 7200RPM @ 8.5 seek time.
Ati Radeon 64 DDR

yeah windowblinds dont seem to like win98 and me. i just upgraded to xp and got wb again, its pretty much acting like native to windows lol. ( ie: no errors, slowdown, or gobble resources at all )

Alex,

I have a similar set up and do not have persistant problems. The problems I have had are usually due to some program being skinned that doesn't want to be skinned. If you notice something in particular that is loading at the time of the crash or you get a dialogue box that gives you any clues it would be very helpful. You can create rules and tell Windowblinds not to skin a particular program. If you are certain you are running out of resources, which seems strange at 256K, check out how much stuff you have loading at start-up using MSCONFIG from the RUN command. I use Cacheman to control how memory is used and have no problem recomending it. Use the available presets first and then tweak from there. Make sure to reboot after each change. Link below, good luck...
