Unable to Activate Windowblinds after upgrade

Monday, May 30, 2011 by DTrixxx | Discussion: Stardock Support General

So today I upgraded my Windowblinds installation and upon reboot I was asked to Activate it.  I entered my serial # and lo and behold I was told that I exceeded my activation from this IP address.  I had WB installed on my older laptop but removed it when I got this new one.

Now if I run WP and go into About WindowBlinds I get this:

Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 4.9
Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 4.9

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.2 (build 297 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds has not been activated correctly on this PC.  Please activate it from SDC.

Tray.dll              2010/04/01 17:40:19
Wbload.dll              2010/06/07 14:10:25
Screen.exe         2010/06/07 14:10:43

I thought SDC was replaced by Impulse.  It appears I cannot Activate from Impulse either....the Re-Active option does nothing.

Please help.

Strange.  Is this considered a bug?

Hey welcome to MY world too!

Having the SAME problem and looks like the same luck getting help....

Ohhh I got a better one too; not only did I get the same error as you did too ("exceding the number at this IP" - BS line) but it ALSO tells me that the regestration number that it shows it regestered under is NOT a stardock number if it try and re-regester it... YAY! isn't updating so much fun... To bad we can't go thru this BS twice a year huh?

That's too bad... as you can see after I applied the first skin and rechecked the about section it appeared to have fixed iteself.
