Object Dock and Taskbar.

I have replaced just about all of the taskbar functionality with the Object Dock, and now I am trying to get rid of it. Checking "Hide the Windows taskbar" in the propertys works, but every now and then the taskbar appears again. I have the taskbar set to hide, and I am also using Window Blinds, if any of that matters.

Kill explorer.... just kidding you probably don't want to do that, but if you use a explorer replacement like bb4win you can use less memory....But there are many config programs that will let you do this. I think that x-setup will let you do this. I know desktopx will, but then you have to be running desktopx (which is a good thing)

I've noticed that it shows up once in awhile too, but I just restart ObjectDock and it goes away. Also, you can go into the Dock configuration and uncheck, then re-check, the Hide Taskbar box. I've noticed my OD gets unstable after about three days of constant uptime, so I have to exit it and go back into it to get it running smoothly again.

I tried running iShell instead of Windows Explorer shell, but I didn't like it. And what does the DesktopX actualy do? Is that similar to a shell replacement? Or is it something else?

Desktopx is a desktop enhancement. It is not a shell replacement. But I suppose one could use it as such. Just use a different file manager or set explorer not to load as the desktop manager just the file manager.

Desktopx is a desktop enhancement. It is not a shell replacement. But I suppose one could use it as such. Just use a different file manager or set explorer not to load as the desktop manager just the file manager.
