Control Panel Background Color and Glass questions

Hi guys:
Does anyone know how to change Control Panel or Explorer´s preview pane background color ? I´m stuck with blinding white in both ...
Also I have made 2 versions for the Command Bar, one in bmp and the other in png for the glass section. What I don´t understand is why is the Control Panel is using the pngs instead of bmps since it doesn´t support glass. I suposed the glass section was for explorer only.

Notice the Commandbar and Infopane. It´s the same color only since it´s 70% transparent you can see the background in the Add/Remove Progs.
Regarding the Control Panel White Background, are you sure it cannot be changed in SKS ? I have seen it changed with Visual Styles, so I know it´s posible, but maybe not in SKS.

Thanks for your help. It´s a shame this has been overlooked by SKS creators, these inconsistencies make homogeneous UI impossible.
