Windowblinds, Skinstudio and making personal changes

Hello all...
I have tried several times to use Skinstudio to make some personal changes in some skins. The latest thing I'm trying to personalize is some of text colors. Some of the darker skins have sections where the text is black and extremely hard to see. Problem is is that I can't find the appropriate section in Skinstudio to make changes to certain sections of a skin/window.
For instance, in Windows Explorer, left side of the Wiondow where "File and Folder TAsks" is, the bottom section is "Details" and I can't find a way to change that text color.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Those colors are the same as the File Folder and Task colors. You can get there by going to the Task Panel. It is the Fourth Icon in the center window on the left side while in Preview mode. The colors for each section will appear on the right when you click one of them.

I don't see anything labeled File Folder....am I missing something here?
By Task colors, I'll assume you're talking about the "Task Pane Text"

In any case, nothing I change there will change the text color within the "Details" pane. It will remain a bold black.

Koasati is correct. The text in 'Details' can't be changed.

He didn't say the text within the Details pane. I think he said the text where it says "details" and "File and Folders" Those can be changed. I think clarification is required.

"Details" I can't find a way to change that color. The color was on the word "Details", referring to "that text color". There was no reference to the pane, or the text in the pane.

I had originally wanted to ask about several text options but the DETAILS section was my real concern. I have pointed 3 different areas of dark text that I'm having trouble getting to llok the way I like. I aplogize to John Gudger for picking on his Starlight skin ...which is one of my favorites! That's why I want to tweak it a little so that I can use it more consistantly.

To maybe explain a little better...I'd like to change the text in the PANE and in the TITLE. The text in the OTHER PLACES and FILE AND FOLDER TASKS has a visible text. The Starlight skin has a nice RED text in the TITLE of details pane...as shown in the screenshot, but the text in the pane below the is black. The skin that I have loaded as I write this is WaterWorks by criss14, and it has the title and the pane text black.
The screen shot is actually another screenshot loaded into Photoshop, so that I could point out the two other text problems I wanted to ask about...ie the top application menu bars. I hope the Screenshot will clear up what I'm having trouble describing.

Yes, I see what you mean. The problem maybe as explained in the #3 thread. Its basically a matter of skin design. If you like this skin that much, then you need to modify it using Skin Studio (for personal use). You can also try contacting the artist who designed the skin and address the problems with them. This is a problem with a specific skin, and not a software problem. This site is also very conscience of modifying others work without consent. The background in the Panel Content is where you can start in Skin Studio. I suggest using another skin that was designed to suit your needs better. If it were my skin, I could help you better. I hope this helps.

I would certainly never upload or otherwise share someone's skin that I have altered. This is just for my own preference, to use on my machine.
I have attempted to make changes in SkinStudio (see my original post). I'm still learning how to navigate my way around it. I've only opened once or twice before and it can look pretty daunting (sp?) at first. but I am catching on little by little.

I've never noticed before, but after checking several skins, that text is the same in every one of them, and I've been unable to change it. I'm thinking we can't change it.....
Could be that the only thing you can do is change the Background color of the Panel........... maybe someone else knows a trick.
