thanks man i do have the willingness to learnmy biggest problem is making templates i have an idea for a skin but i don't know how to go about making the template for it coz the skin will be taking the shape of an evil facedo you know what i mean mayby you could send me some exsamples of templates don't worry i wont make skins from them and even if i did you would sertanaly know right away if i did i know my new skin needs some tweeking i'll get better at it.

I do have some standard templates that indicate the relative areas for buttons, etc.....and you are welcome to them.
As a matter of interest, as with a lot of people, I started with WinAMP by pulling apart an existing skin, modifying it, piece by piece, and observing the changes until I had worked out what each bit actually did. Yes, I know it seems awfully slow and tedious, but that is only because it is..
The IMPORTANT thing to remember, though, is that by the time you are happy with it and ready to upload it to the public, it MUST no-longer contain any of the original graphics, unless you have contacted the original author, and he/she has given permission to use them, and consent MUST be included in the documentation and skin description.....
Something else to remember....this doesn't need 3 separate threads on a message board....one would suffice.....I would have checked back with them again...
