Favourites not skinning in IP

Wednesday, January 28, 2004 by CAClark | Discussion: Stardock Software

I have the most recent version from SDC, but I still cannot get it to touch the favourites in Internet Explorer. Anyone have any advice?

Cheers

Craig

Craig.......Are you talking about IconPackager skinning the folders in the favourites menu of Internet Explorer?

I believe the favorites icons in the menu of internet explorer cannot be changed without hacking your system files. something that you should never do.

You can tweak your IE Favorites icons with FavOrg http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,108438,00.asp

that changes the favicons, not the default image. but it should work.

You can change them to anything you want, just takes a little tweaking.

Hey... yeah, I thought IP would replace them in the favourite sidebar menu in IE itself. I can do it manually by changng each folder but it is just a bit tedious. Thanks anyways
