Wanting to hear sound
Have .dream wallpapers, but where's the sound?
Monday, January 17, 2011 by infinitejim | Discussion: Animated Wallpapers
Hi.
Relatively new here, so bear with me. I'm running Win 7 Professional, lots of ram, lots of storage, two monitor set up, have "Stereo Mix (Realtek High Definition Audio)."
I've read through some of the forums, but couldn't find the answers. I'm able to see the .dream animated wallpapers (way cool), but I thought there was supposed to be sound, for example "Forest Falls" is what I've got up right now, but, I'd like to hear the water. Where do I find on the computer how to make sound happen with these animated wallpapers, and, then turn sound off when I'm not wanting it?
Any help out there?
Thanks
Jim

Ohhh!! So Vista actually did something cool? Yeah, so Vista allowed the sounds I heard. Seven doesn't support the sounds! OK, Got it. Thanks!

Zubaz...sorry to be the one to tell you this but you are mistaken.
My Froggy Dream has sound and it works in Windows 7.
To enable it, click on the speaker icon in your taskbr and choose mixer, then turn up the "Windows explorer" sound.

Ah, sweet, good to know that the sound DOES work in 7.
Now, just to find them. (that would have been strange for Vista to have had something better than 7). Downloading Froggy now. Love the sound of water, so if anybody knows of more, pass them on, will ya? Thanks all.
