Can I disable the right-click DX menu? (on the desktop)
If so, how?

DX Config/Security...check 'Disable Desktop Right Click Menu'

I've tried that..... check it, and hit Apply, and OK........... doesn't change anything. Go back and look at the setting, and it's unchecked.

Yep...you're right.

Try this:

Registry Settings
User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
Value Name: NoViewContextMenu
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

Set the Value to : 0

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]

The only entry here is "NoDriveTypeAutoRun"

System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]

Explorer doesn't show here.

................... why me?
Appreciate ya, Gary! .........................I'd love to have my HvD popup back, but geez...............

...be brave.....and daring; you have to create the 'Value'

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]

Value Name: NoViewContextMenu
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

You need to create the last three entries by using right clicks in Regedit...forget about the 'Local Machine' and see if this works after a re-boot. Make life easy and save (export) the entire entry as a reg file and if something goes wrong just double click it and all is returned to previous entries. I'm not sure if you name it that , that the value shouldn't be '1' so try both before restoring.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
Do the same thing to this one and the Desktop will disappear....restore the other and it will return your explorer menu

Hey, Randy...This is strange, but this works (for whatever reason). Click 'Hide Desktop Icons' in DX config and click 'disable right click Menu' and re-start DX. When it comes back up click to use 'User Mode'....and poof....no menu

Yep, it sure does.  But no right-click HvD popup either..........    .......... think I'll try the other Registry edit, and if that doesn't work, I give up.   Thanx Gary.
