Update Box Appears with NO updates

Friday, November 14, 2003 by Riahon | Discussion: Stardock Software

When I start SD Central 1.16a.230, build 32, the Update Box appears...But there aren't any programs visible to update. Does anyone know how to correct this problem??

Check 'Show pre-release versions' and refresh 'Site Data'

I've already done that, but I tried it again. No luck.

What proggie(s) is the update telling you is available, and which version do you actually have installed?

Let's try this... right click on tray icon and in settings check 'Do Not Check For Updates'. Start SDC and see if the Update module shows up....I think your settings are just a little wacked. Close SDC and do the same thing with the icon except change it back to 'Allow Stardock Central to Check for Updates' and set time to 1 hour. It should work properly.

When I select 'Do not check for application updates', 'Allow Stardock Central to check for updates' stays selected also. No luck so far.

Click on 'Do Not Check' and click OK...re-open and only that one should now be checked.

Hummmmmm....you might want to blow in a new install of SDC. It won't alter any of your proggies and will just get rid of this glitch you seem to have with this copy.
