Just added two to my desktop. It was already a winter forest scene so they go very nicely with the background.

Which is what Desktop Gadgets are. Stand alone .exe that require nothing else installed to be able to use/run them.
IMO these should be upload to the Desktop Gadgets gallery instead of being down loadable here in the forums.
Since they fit the Desktop Gadgets gallery being able to download from the forums bypasses WC's upload/moderation process.
