Trident WB - Released

Tuesday, November 9, 2010 by vStyler | Discussion: New Releases

I have designed this WB with productivity in mind, and wanted an interface for myself that was comfortable, compatible and modern looking. Trident is an interface that can be used day in and day out, and not get in the way.

With it's deep, subtle blues and a backdrop of smooth aluminum, I have used this theme for over a month now and am fully confident that when you load it up, it will bring a pleasing smile to your face as well.

Many thanks all my testers and fellow skinners for their always appreciated help.

Matching skins will be in galleries soon.

Thank you, and enjoy Trident for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Would you be willing to make a full or at leat simply most seen icons on windows 7? We don't need all icons to be skinned in windows 7 as XP was demanding. These icons are perfect style for the Trident WB

No problem here. Copied to skin folder and it came up easily.

Hmmm, what OS are you running Uvah?  Which version of Rainlendar?  I have Rainlendar and Railendar 2 can't get it to install in either.  I wonder if there is an update to Rainlendar that I don't have, better check.

EDIT:  I got my problem sorted out.  For whatever reason when I tried extracting the skin into the Rainlendar skin folder it wouldn't put Trident in it's own subfolder.  Had to go make a folder extract Trident to it and then drop that folder into the skins folder.  Never ran into that before.

Thanks!

Just those regular icons we see all the time on Windows 7. Most of them you have already done i can see. You can call it a mini-package and upload in the IconPackage section. We would be thankful! For Windows 7, that is mostly all we need including recycle bin icon. I think you should, as I said, create a mini-package and take credit for a such a wonderful job

Unless someone is working on another skin, all I see that is left besides the WB getting uploaded is the SysMetrix skin.

Syd, do these XP booters work pretty well for you?  I seem to remember them giving me trouble. I have XP again now, shall I try again?

...for which the "complete" version is nearlly finished, but i get since a few days a weird trouble with weather infos: whatever Country / town i choose i get a "Parsing Error - Incompatible Data Format: <h1>Error: you did not provide a location indicator</h1>" (not very practical to set the datas at the right place  )

Anyone else having that trouble ?

I've send a mail to Xymantix, but don't get any answer for now ...

Running Win7 Home Premium and Rainlendar 0.21, the older one. What I do is extract my zips in my download folder, that's where all my downloads go, then either copy or move the folder to the Rainlendar skins folder. Usually I move it there after copying it to an archive folder on my backup drive. Works every time. Oh, and the reason is the Rainlendar components weren't in a separate folder. I had to create a folder first, name it, then copy it to the Rainlendar skin folder. Sometimes when whoever zips it doesn't put them in a folder first.

Okay, SysMetrix is up.  Unless someone else is working on a desktop item that should be it for those.  Then it's just the BootSkin and Logon.

sydneysiders I grab the BootSkin screenshot to use in the Suite Screenshot.  Could you please post one here for the Logon?
