change "search field" image?

I have been trying for hours to change the "search field" image. I can make it disappear via "start menu/bottom bar/ extra settings/offset
but cannot figure out how to alter the image to blend in with the bottom bar. This is really holding me back in regards to skin creativity.
Can anyone please help?

Thanks Xiadi, seems like a logical place for it, I have a hard time finding my nose sometimes though, so thank you very much for the assist!
