You do not have to subscribe to have your work published. Just need to meet the guidelines and submit an acceptable graphic. Again, if you post a screenshot of your work here for critique, that is the purpose of this thread.

Thanks for the fast answers... an example is the thing i submitted today the only one that made it into my personal profile but not into the actuall wallpaper hall is the pic i talked about in my last post its old very old so nothing new and im a bit shamed of it but anyway maybee you can tell me why its not in the hall of wallpapers

Btw this is quite old and its nothing fancy on it i only would like to know why this isnt showing up under wallpapers
PS i know i did a lousy job on masking here also ^^ as you can see on the shadow dots also the shadow isnt in order with the light source im aware of that

If you are serious about getting something in the gallery, you should only be submitting your best artwork, not something that you state yourself is inferior. If you are not happy with it, than how can you expect someone else will be?

Lets forget for a minute that you openly admitted to not having permissions to use the brain, and some other graphics were not of your making and have no permission to redistribute them. Which alone is reason for exile of the work.

#1 brain looks placed.

#2. mixing of styles of images.  You have a hodge podge of surreal items *brain and Box* with cartoon style of scribbles, which dont Flow together, no sense of bond or belonging.

#3.Text. rarely can one pull off text within a wallpaper and have it actually be passed in to Public library. One should only have to post the wall, the image should draw the viewer to their own conclusion of meaning, if done well the viewer will typically come to the same thoughts you had when making. To require text to entice them to see what your works is attempting to express, means you need to convey your thoughts better.

#4. while it may be an interesting piece of art, not all art is worthy of being a good desktop wallpaper. A pic of my dog can be classified as art, yet other then to me and possibly a few folks out there interested in dog' pix, it would not really be of interest to the greater community.

organicANDstyle ... I don't think you 'quite' ticked ALL the boxes for what-NOT-to-do-in-a-wallpaper  ... but you got most of them with the image above.

'different' is not the ideal adjective you want to look for to describe a wallpaper.

It's typically the word used instead of 'nice' [where with 'nice' the original/correct meaning is intended [it's derogatory]].

The short answer is 'at least it's a screen-size proportion'.

First rule...before anything else .... guarantee your image has royalty-free-to-use images/content if any of it is NOT 100% your own.

Second ... if you 'must' sign your work do so with subtlety.  No-one usually will want to stare at your signature/name all day whilst using your wallpaper.  It distracts.

Third... light/composition. Adopt some.

The image looks like a bunch of 'elements' chucked on top of each other on a background of dirty/smudge.

I expect there is likely only ever to be one user of this image as a wallpaper, namely its author.

Others will simply move on to better images of composition/style/execution/content/meaning...

Now thats some argument love it
so for future stuff no text only the wall of course only parts that belong or have been created by myself the surreal thing is true the comic overall thing was the time i starded doing stuff with PS the two parts heading right were for dual screen so all i would have to do was mirror the main image and displace the text...and yes i dont like it overall true true! its just an old pic i thow in here to get figured why my (work isnt showing up in the main wallpaper category) like i said this weekend i will post some more stuff including your suggestions thanks a lot this was helpfull
