Forum Update - September 24, 2010 - Karma/Ad-related (Updated again September 27, 2010)

I pushed a forum update today that has the following changes:
1. Disabled the ads on the WinCustomize forums to try and prevent the "Malware Detection" problems for Chrome and Firefox.
2. Karma is now universal across all sites. This means that the karma number you now see in each post will be the same across all of the forums, and that giving someone karma means they will get it everywhere. Let me know if you notice any issues with it.
3. Updated some of our back-end moderation tools.
4. Minor bug fixes.

How bizarre. I think it stopped doing it after I hit Restore Advanced Settings on the Advanced config tab in IE.
Now I'm just as confused as I was before...but whatever works.
You said this was happening in Chrome too. Is that still the case?

Now it's only doing it in Impulse.
I'm gonna let this one go. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Karma behaves weirdly.
I used 'Give karma' on post https://forums.elementalgame.com/398027, and instead increasing his karma, it actually decreased it (was +2, now +1), however in profile it lists 3 karma given and says its 1 total, https://forums.elementalgame.com/karma/4241220

The karma count has always been that way since the beginning. Karma is like that, it has its highs and lows. Karma will be what it will be, but eventually you will get what's coming to you.
In other words:The numbers will self-correct, don't sweat it.

Yes, the numbers will self correct (eg: I see it as +4 now). However, I'll take a look and figure out why that would happen.

Did I miss the announcement about the links being provided to the source forum on replies and original posts?
I just noticed this and want to say I think it's great. I think this has been something that's been asked about for close to three years now. I'm glad to see it finally implemented.

On page 3 the last reply that I see is my reply #74 and then Fuzzy's reply #76 as the first reply on page 4 but no reply #75.
What's going on?

Now I see Bara's reply. Must be a latency thing. It did take at least 5 minutes for it to appear.
