Creating a cursor...

Monday, July 14, 2003 by DarkMist | Discussion: Stardock Software

I've been wanting to try doing a cursor but have no idea where to start, is there and tutorial that explains it all?

Already have the tutorial from the Cursor library and it don't make much sense and was hoping to find something more in depth

Thanks

Long time no see Dark Mist

Your best start is an idea. when you have that you are well on your way. If you have any questions along the way mail me. My MSN is the same address and is usually on, well when I remember to turn it on.

I recommend using transparent portable network graphics files for images.
Open cursorXP configuration window.
Click configure button then select a cursor to modify then click configure button on the bottom of the window.
Import a file then tell it how many frames the file is divided into.
Modify existing cursor themes to see how it all works.
If you save as a new name you will not lose the original theme you are modifying.
Press the i button to see what that does. Few people fill this out.
This is one way to start to understand how it all works.
