Personalize Site

Wednesday, September 1, 2010 by PJStaley | Discussion: New Users

While browsing the WinCustomize site, I noticed a little button below each Dream offering the option to "add to favorites" and when I clicked the button to do so, I got a message stating:

Sorry, you currently do not have the appropriate access to use the add favorite skin function. In order to use this feature you must first activate your WinCustomize Personal Page.

To activate your WinCustomize Personal Page visit "Personal Site" tab in your settings. Once you have created your personal page you will then be able to add favorite skins to your site.

My question is this: I am not able to locate anywhere on the site that says "settings".  Please advise.

I have the same problem, only I see a grey bar at the top off everything. on the Right is [my username] / "Upload" / and "Log off"

but when i click [my username] button it just take me to "my profile" page... no settings, just a mostly blank page with:

(Left side)

[Username] / [age] / [location]

[member since] / [last logged in] / [usernumber]

on the right side i can click to send a private message or view [my skins] ... which is empty 'cuz i can't figure out how to make it let me add any!

I'm not a new user, I'm here since 2004 but never wrote on the forum or be active on it. I was trying to add somethings to my favs and found that I can't because of my missing personal page... Than started to try to build one (2 days and no way)!!!

Well, why give the option to fav something if users actually can't.

Trying to understand and I've found that the only page with a aspect of "Personal Page" is this one ---> link

Than I thoght I should add favs, but nope! No way! mumble mumble

I came here and read the posts and when I read

It's on "the list". No date as of yet.

And I think about this ---> Article wrote more than 4 years ago.

The questions are: Why no more personal pages? Why there still people with a Presonal Page? Why a Moderator says "It's on the list" that seems like "We never had a personal page service, its on the road but no date atm!"?

Need a reply pls

Edit: maybe I found something... Well it seems that you need to subscribe to WinCustomize.comto have the option to create a PP. Its less than 10$/year and its really cheap but why don't add this info on this message? ---> "Sorry, you currently do not have the appropriate access to use the add favorite skin function. Personal pages are not supported with the new site.  They are just displayed for people who originally had them.
