I uploaded a screen shot of my newbie and the realized I should have done it this way. Here is the problem I'm having with CF65. Every time I load it I get this. You might have to zoom in on the upper left corner.[URL=http://img237.imageshack.us/i/upperleftcorner.jpg/]

I uninstalled DesktopX and downloaded version 3.5. Did the re-install and clicked on CF65. Got the same problem. It's not DesktopX that has the problem. I think CF65 has it. Really a shame as CF65 has it all. Really sweet app but I can't use it.
My avatar isn't what I thought it would be...YUCK!! I'm gonna look for a new one.

When you reinstalled 3.5, did you go to the app data folder and delete the current theme folder in the stardock/desktopx folder?
D:\Users\Jim Dillard\AppData\Local\Stardock\DesktopX\CurrentTheme---use your name. This is win 7
Similar for vista. XP would be in a different place. CF65 works great here. The current theme folder was still holding the last setup and reloading it borked.
If this don't fix it, I dunno what to say.
I have found that once you install 4.0, it never really work right again, even if you reinstall. Example. In my case, DX 4.0 put an extension in your context (right click) menu. When you uninstall it, it leaves that part behind. I'm sure it's not alone.

Are you using DesktopX 4.0 beta?
If so, that is the problem. I get similar results.
Use 3.5 for DesktopX.
