A little update for y'all ....

Hello Folks !
I thought I would give you all an update on whats been happening in my life in the
last few months ....
For those of you who know me a little bit more ( and those who don't ) ... (Sitting Comfortably ?)
Last year I lost my father .... and then we ( my partner and I ) decided that we needed to
sell the family home (not encumbered - no mortgage ) so that we could at least find a more suitable
property - a bungalow - Celia , my partner , is quite disabled so we needed everything on the level for
her : In the family home she was confined to upstairs and could not involve herself much
in the day to day running of the house ... a bungalow was what we needed ..
So , eventually , last November we found a really nice huge bungalow that was just the job , and
we rented it ... Slap bang in the middle of nowhere , in a little cul-de-sac ( dead end) road , no traffic ,
just a dozen other bungalows ... It was quite quiet , you could hear a bird's f*art !
Christmas came and went .... and into the new year .... Celia was quite ill and had to spend quite a lot of time in hospital , so consequently I was not able to get to my PC as much, if at all ....
When she came out , we had great news , the house had by now been sold and funds were now available
for us ...... a lot of you would think " Holidayyyyyyy " -- so we did ....
We spent a couple of months cruising the Mediteranean Sea on The "Independance of the Seas '' cruise ship ;
I'm telling you , If it had a port we docked , we must have visited every single port in the Med ... got a lot of
souvenirs and keepsakes etc , in fact we docked at previously visited ports quite a few times , which was great ,
we could get more souvenirs etc , Our cabin was becoming a Plastic Bag dumping ground, we had that many !
When we did eventually get back home , we found that we had inherited (!) 2 grandaughters and a grandson !
So now we were shopping for 3 babies ... for when they come to visit with their mums and dads ...
It was a wonder that my credit card didn't suffer meltdown, I tell you ...
So , 1000 Pampers , and countless clothes and toys later , both Celia and I --
(begrudgingly..! I like my sleep too much ...! )
... find ourselves looking after these little people a couple of times a week ....
So now our nice quiet backwater has become a self - inflicted creche .... and Celia is Loving it ....
Billing and Cooing like a demented pigeon .... with the occasional shouts of
" Michael ...... Put the kettle on for baby's bottle , Put the baby's clothes in the washer ....
Make me some dinner please ..... Can you sterilise the baby's bottles ..... "
~ or assorted variations of the above ... tut ! ~ I am absolutely shattered ....

Elsewhere :
I also invested in a nice new iMac 27" Quad .... and a whizzy iPad 64 gb 3gs ...
( So I will be looking forward to some Windowblinds for Macs- wishful thinking , I know .... 
)
... and as I was a Professional Musician for quite a few years , I thought I would treat myself to
a nice new Yamaha Clavinova CVP 509 ... This is one kick -*ss piece of kit ..
( I still do a lot of sessions in other studios ..) .... and it's also a nice looking piece of 'furniture' , too ...

And Finally :
I hope to be about a bit more now , if only to write a comment on a thread somewhere
within the Canyons of Wincustomise ; babys and music notwithstanding ...
All I ask - is please be patient ... suddenly my life is a little bit busier then it used to be .....

Hey Mike, thanks a squillion for posting those links and the pic of ol' Devonia.
It's a great blast from the past and there are many happy memories associated with it.

......sounds like you've had quite a roller coaster of a time..... sorry to hear about your Dad.... 
bet those anklebiters are keeping you busy though... 
the trip sounds like it was fantastic....and I'm sure well deserved too...
and Uvah's back too..... .........good to see a coupla boomerangs.....

Yaaaaayyy, it's so great to see both these members boomerang back in... the forums are definitely better for their being here, so here's hoping it's a frequent and regular thing from here on in.
Oh and Uvah, ya nut, it's great the see you on here again. I've missed your brand of crazy heaps, so welcome back to you also, matey.

It will get better as they grow and the pong goes. Enjoy them cos they have a habit of growing up too fast. And if I may in this thread say a big welcome back to Uvah.

Hey guys ... Thanx a lot ..... As I type ,at 3.06 am (!) , Celia is busy sorting out the mid morning (!) baby bottles ......
We are looking after one of the ankle-biters as I type .... This one is Kyra - Leigh
My , she knows when she wants her bottle , thats for sure 190 decibels .... 
Looks like another sleepless night .....

Oh, she's a quiet one. When my step-daughter was little she could scream the roof off a bunker 1/2 a mile down.
And that ain't the only thing that she's got loud!!!
She positively has the loudest and longest burp I have ever heard... seriously.
My biggest and best curried cabbage bark pales into insignificance, literally.

Oh well .. Just about survived the night , we are absolutely fu -woops - knackered !
Kyra goes back to mom this evening , and guess what .... We got the grandson and mom over the weekend as Homer says .....
