DrJBHL...those docks have a serious "cut" line in them. Looks bad.

Doc uses smaller icons which is what causes the docks to look like that. My icons are always set at 60 pixels.

'Tis what I figured.  I usually have mine set around 90-96...big screen and all...

He could try this:

Open up the .ini file and underneath the Info section put TrueStretch = 1, save, reapply.  See if that helps any.  If not...well it didn't hurt.

He meant are you moving up to the Penthouse...where the air is thinner.

Just call me dense...Not anytime soon I'm afraid.

My desktop is my desktop. I don't need any approval for it. Keep the acrimony for someone who thinks any of it is any more than pixels, or who cares. This one has no Impulse Dock...just so I don't have to hear you.

I could give you a "next time don't look" line about looking at my comment, but that would be being a dick and I'm not trying to be one.

You don't have to try. It's quite effortless and spontaneous on your part.

Syd - I can't believe you chose that pic! I was working on a similar one (in between patients). Just got home so here it is:

Who the hell is talking about the Impulse dock.  I was talking about the docks you have that were made by WebGizmos, and we figured out what is possibly doing it.  It's a darn shame that no one around here can take any comments about their stuff if it isn't all "goo-goo, gaa-gaa, that's so flipping wonderful I can't live without it."

*Took out my terrible language.

It's a god-damn shame that no one around here can take any comments about their shit if it isn't all "goo-goo, gaa-gaa, that's so fucking wonderful I can't live without it." Dick.

I thought this thread was Show us your Penthouse, not show us your Dick.

WG knows how take a critique so if its just a matter of a stretch setting and adjusting margins I'm sure he knows how to fix it.Sometimes its tough to anticipate all the different ways someone may configure your work.(thats why WB's have substyles haha)

Doc forgive me for busting your chops but I dont believe Natas was knocking your screen...just pointing out a fixable flaw in the work...something I wish more people did around here.(vs. the 'its wonderful' blinders so many wear)

I go out of my way to illicit bug hunting on my work and I almost never get any usable feedback.

Natas...stop pissing people off.

And...never forget...whether you want criticism or not...care or not...think its important or not...

if you put it out there for all to see...you have by default invited comment and critique...dont let it bug you.

nobody told me there was someone above me....I want a refund.....   ..what's going on up there with all those lights anyway....

Thanks natas2, do you plan on moving to a thinner atmosphere? I'd like to see what you do with it.

creative speak for..... do you have Penthouse...and if so.... would like to see a screenie of how you've presented it... I would too....

DC.... I've got that skyline shot on with it now.... minus the car.... it's a terrific match with the blind.....

you know...I get this mental image of you doc.....with a patient on the other side of the desk....describing symptoms....and you saying.....

'hmmm....that's rather unusual....I'd better research that further'.... and turning to your 'puter...and your half finished screenshot....adding some docks.................

'but doc...it's only a cold'.....................'hmmm...a cold you say?......I'd better look that up...they can be tricky'......... evil doc's smokescreen....

fr4nk3nstein.....when they take the boards off your windows......show us your view.....     j/k  ..looks cool...

Ok....tried fixing it with Doc. I had forgot that his screenshot was on a laptop for one thing...not sure how that effects OD. But I also had him add the TrueStretch and it didn't work...I'm guessing because it's on a laptop. But he cranked it up to something like 150 pixels and it still showed the lines. So I can only assume its laptop related and nothing I can do about it...plus I'm still using OD 1.9...because it works.

As far as the docks....I try to make the background as small as possible so it doesn't break when someone stretches or shrinks it...but I can't possibly make them work for everyone.

Well actually...it's just a sleeping bag...a can of sterno and some "really" bright camping lights.
