What's fixed / new

x-When there are no non-tabbed docks open, flyout menus would fly out, but then not react to mouse interaction
. This has been fixed.
 
x-Control+Click (or Shift+Clicking) on a folder in a flyout menu will now open that folder instead of flying it out.
 
x-Dock Properties dialog doesn't show on the Taskbar tabs when open. Fixed, it now shows.
 
x-made 'slowest' setting for hotspot activation delay much longer, relabled "fast/slow" delay to "short/very long"
 
x-Advanced option added: folder flyouts show as normal menu if number of files > 80
 
x-Add this Application to the Dock only works on flyout docks and it does not add the app icon as the image. Fixed, now works for all.
 
x-non-tabbed docks set to normal zordering (not always on top) would come to the top when a new application was loaded. Fixed, this does no longer happen.

x-Made hotspots screen colorblind friendly. (User must set BlackAndWhiteConfig flag in [Accessibility] section of settings.ini to = 1)
 
x-added option for drawers (tabbed docks docked to edge) to not always have their tabs on top
 
x-Tabbed dock labels show even when covered by another program and you mouseover a spot where an item would be if not covered. Fixed, this no longer happens.
 
x-GDI Handles would leak after using Choose Image dialog. This has been fixed.
 
x-When two tabbed docks are present, autohiding/showing them both at the same time can result in one of their animations locking and not hiding/unhiding again until restarting OD+. This has been fixed!
 
x-If alt-tabbing during resizing the dock, the dock could get stuck in resizing if you move to another program then release the mouse button. This has been fixed.
 
x-Resize cursor could get stuck temporarilly when moving quickly between two different tabbed docks. Fixed.
 
x-Microsoft WordXP would freeze on shutdown until ObjectDock is closed when launched from a link to a word document in the dock. This has been determined to be resulting from a bug in Windows' ShellExecuteEx function, and has been effectivly worked around by removing running indicators on documents executed from the dock.
 
x-Fixed issue of some users with only PowerUser windows user accounts not being able to run OD+, getting a message about needing to install properly.
 
x-When moving a tabbed dock, upon picking it up to move it it would shift over a few pixels right from the start. Fixed.
 
x-Added ability to have a System Tray on a non-tabbed dock! (You can choose between either having a taskbar or a tray on each non-tabbed dock)

I'm not sure where there's a feature request section for OD+... but here goes:

Howzabout, rather than just being able to save the whole theme, an option to save package just one tab or dock... so we can upload dock configurations to wincustomize that will just add a custom dock or tab (like a meters dock) without replacing the entire theme?

Another request ... sorry, lots... Would be nice to be able to drag and drop from the start menu object onto a tab in another dock... so I don't have to open the "real" start menu, or an explorer window, to get links of newly installed apps.

Perhaps this is a silly question but when I try to download the updated OD+ the file name and size are the same as when I first got it (ObjectDockPlus102beta2.exe @ 8.178KB). Is this the right file for OD+ Beta1a? Are the updates included in it?

Handles leak still seems to be present. Specifically, I can make it leak 40-50 handles at a time, reliably. All I have to do is open the "Dock entry properties" tab and close it again, without doing anything else. Every time I do that, it leaks 40-50 handles which don't get released back to the OS.

I have it up to 2,319 handles so far but am not going to try for 15,000 again.

I would have liked to see basic functions fixed first.
1. I have OD+ running on one machine and it will always crash when I try to create a new dock. I have seen this reported by others. Beta 2 did not fix this.
2. The handle leak is still there. I can confirm that.
3. A change in fonts requires a OD+ quit/run cycle.
4. Why does it take 10 or more seconds to quit OD+? Why does it take equally as long to quit the myDocks dialogue box?

It would be nice if new builds were a little easier for registered users to get. The link requires me to go through a lot of steps and then wait to get to it.

I second that!!! I really would like to see it updated through SDC, especially since I am on dial-up!!

Thanks to FYI on the start menu docklet (startmenu 2.1) that AndreaV created, but I have tried it and it doesnt work properly for me... It gives me that double popup so that is the reason why I requested for that to be added to the software...

Also there are dockets that do system tray for objectdock, but feather was added to the ObjectDock + so I dont see a reason why they can't add the real startmenu to the ObjectDock + software.

Thanks anyways for the heads up....

Well, if not the "real" startmenu, then at least something skinnable to match the dock. I've used the menu docklet before, and it always feels a bit "klunky" to me having a start menu come up in the middle of the screen that doesn't match the theme of the dock well.

i am still havin a problem with Multiple monitor support on non-tabbed docks. i am able to get the dock to my 2nd monitor, but on mouseover on the dock the text shows up on my 1st monitor. this is a fix that i am most waiting for. i also have the font issue as well.

Very nice update. Very happy with the change for Task and System docks. Still a couple of bugs with random icons not showing up on the System dock (particularly the SD tray icons), but I have yet to see a single tray applet, Stardock or not, not have this problem. I did discover the redone icons for some common tray items, does not use them unless it is a clean install of OD+ though. Again, I do not regret registering this right away.

I'm an owner of ObjectDock Plua 102 Beta 2.
Following the link we receive by email ("Upgrade Information and Serial Numbers for your Stardock products"), I can only download the version mentionned above.
Where is the update?

That's the version your supposed to have... its actually ObjectDock Plus 1.02 Beta 1a

That is the latest beta version...

That is interesting mnunes. I wrote stardock teck support and asked them basically the same question yrousse wrote. It looks like we cant get ObjectDock Plus 1.02 BETA1a yet. This was my question and the response I got back.

Resonse:
"This is the same build as the 17th, no new updates in it. We're still banging away at some issues internally. For the next release, you should be able to use Stardock Central to get updates."

Thats interesting because I was able to download it and I noticed the changes... so I dont know what happened to the link but I know im not the only one that has the 1.02 BETA1a

is it possible to assign some key other than Ctrl to explore a folding in a fly out menu? i would like to assign my middle mouse button to the function that the Ctrl key currently has in OD+. thanks for any info u can pass along.

I just purchased ObjectDock Plus a few days ago before this latest release. After this announcement, I requested the download information and it stil points to the old version. What gives? Can someone please provide me with the download link to the latest beta?

The filename is the same, but the update is there... so it appears. Try it, and I bet you'll see the fixes mentioned.
