Unable to start Directx on your machine

I have 2 cards one 470 and 8800. I only use 2 monitors 1 on the 470 and 1 on the 8800. When i try to apply 2 different dreams (any dream it doesn't matter) i get the unable to start direct x on your machine. But if i stretch the dream on both it works but i cant apply 2 different dreams. Any fix for this. I have desks-capes 3.19b.

Are your cards setup in SLI mode?
I tried a multiple card setup last week but it was ATI and it worked perfectly.
