multi monitor only partially works

2 of 4 monitors work with different dreams, i get some direct x error, but i can use all 4 monitors to display the same dream, so it's not a direct x problem, it seems like it's a deskscapes problem then.
thoughts?

Do you have multiple graphics cards?
Do you have this problem with the winter snow dream?
Also what exactly does the error say?

yes multiple graphics cards
yes, with winter snow, but, this only happens when selecting individual per monitor dreams, if i only use 1 dream on all 4, it works fine
the exact error is as follows:
Unable to start DirectX on your machine. Please try rebooting and if this continues try updating your video drivers.
now, i'm using a 9800GT and a GTX285, but using latest Nvidia drivers

The problem may be because you have two GPUs vs a single GPU.
When you have a single dream over multiple adapters we only use the primary adapter for the rendering. When you set a dream per monitor it has to init DirectX on all of them and it sounds like one of the adapters is failing on this step.
What happens if you set a video dream on monitor 1 and then set Winter Snow on the 3rd or 4th monitor? Do you get the same error?

Just tested this, and I experience the same problem, with 'only' 3 monitors.
