Objectdock icon problem

hey there im new to all this but have just made my first icon for objectdock. I have one problem though.... when i use the object which is saved as a .png at 800x600 pix, it appears to be about half the size of other icons os the same size what have i missed?

Try resizing it to 256 (or 128) pixels wide and see what happens. I'm quite sure that ObjectDock can't properly deal with an icon 800 pixels wide, although I've never tried one myself.

i fixed the problem last night by resizing the image to 20cm by 20cm. it may not be the right way but i was just shooting blindly as my knowledge of photoshop is very small at the mo.

 256px and 128px are standard sizes, and you should make your icons in either or both sizes. XP can use up to 128px, Vista and 7 up to 256. ObjectDock can use up to 256.

In the meantime, you could try this free program to resize your images:
