Is it possible to use Desktop X with DeskScapes 3 as the background?

Is it possible to use Desktop X with DeskScapes 3 as the background? When I try and load both programs together DeskScapes 3 seems to be frozen and Desktop X is working great. I think my laptop is strong to handle both programs running no problem, but DeskScapes 3 seems to be frozen(no animation) and laptop is still working fast. If I could pull this off I would be stoked.

Yes, I do it all the time. Just be sure that you don't have DX set to hide icons, and there is no wall set to be used.
If you have trouble, turn off Fences, it causes problems with Deskscapes on some systems.

There are some themes by RedneckDude in the works that will do just that. Watch this thread LINK for further news on the community project that will use one of them.
DeskScapes and DX play fine together. DX desktops, widgets,or gadgets should have no effect on DeskScapes, afaik. What OS are you running and what sort of laptop do you have?
I dual boot Vista 32 bit and Win7 64 bit and have no trouble using DX and DS together with either OS.
