Did you change to a different dock skin first because if it is in use it will do that

You may have to go up or down with the numbers depending on your screen resolution

You should see an entry in Impulse under "My Software" for ObjectDock Plus 2. If you don't, send an email to [email protected] so we can help you out, as it may be an account issue.

OD2 should come up in Impulse as a seperate program from ODv1.9, see screenshot:

Also remember to have "show pre-release versions" checked in the Impulse settings.

Not sure if this is a problem but while checking my event viewer for some HD errors I ran across this entry. It's been doing this since the upgrade apparently.

so is it recommended to uninstall OB+ 1.9 but installing 2.0?

have both install cause i never wanted to redid all my tabs and docks.

I've disable the mouse over labeling from 1.9 and there is no option for it in 2.0,so i was wondering if that's the reason.

You can have both installed, but since ObjectDock Plus 2 is just an initial beta it doesn't necessarily have the same set of features as the previous version. Both versions share the settings directory, so using both versions could cause problems with your settings. If you run into problems, see if deleting the settings resolves it.

I am running Windows 7 64bit on a dell laptop that is frequently plugged into a docking station. I had been running Object Dock 1.9 and auto-hiding the Windows Task Bar. I have used the beta

- Very impressed. New configuration screens are a significant improvement. Finally hiding the task bar and having the Start Menu and Tray on the dock is awesome.

- I don't see a way to show an About Object Dock dialog or show the current version number.

- I also don't see a way to backup and restore the docks. I expect this is coming soon.

- I second (or third) the posts I saw from others regarding changing the icon of running programs. I use an alternate file browser (Directory Opus from Australia, awesome!) Anyway, in XP, I like to change the running icon to a PNG I have of a disk drive, but here I am getting a "cannot access information" error. It says it "is likely that it has been ran as Admin while ObjectDock as not.".

- I have a folder set to open as a menu. It contains my most often used apps and tools. I rarely change the contents and find it surprising that it takes so long to appear on its first click, and periodically forgets and pauses again if I haven't clicked on it in a few hours. It can take over 5 seconds to "rebuild" or whatever it is doing on that first click. I would like to see this run faster. It ran slow on 1.9 as well.

Overall, 4.5 out of 5 stars, a high score in my book for a beta release! Thank you StarDock. Because of this product and Fences, I enjoy using my computer and frequently get interrupted at work with questions on why my desktop is so cool.

Will the "quit" option be put back or is that permanent in that you will now have to use the sys tray icon to unload

I'm not sure about that, but I'll bring it up.

No one knows, that options seems to be missing, sadly.

This is something pretty trivial, but can it be worked in so that the config window remembers it's last position? Every time I open the configuration, it opens someplace in the upper left corner, and I have to drag it to the center. 1.9 always opened in the center of the screen and remembered where it was (same with WB, IP, etc).
