bootskin free crashes now

I have had for a long time bootskin free not the new one that has animation and it worked fine on windows xp sp1, sp2 and sp3 no issues until now. I have rebuilt the same pc twice not becasue of bootskin for other reasons and after applying a skin to bootskin it reboots gets to the windows xp log and crashes. blue screen too quick to see what it is just reboots.

is there an alternative to bootskin also what version might work.

If you have rebuilt your computer, unfortunately that maybe the problem. The original bootskin had 3 version because of differences in computer setups, usually one of them worked but there was no guarantee. I don't think the original bootskin is even supported anymore. If you are still on an XP system then you might want to try looking on the internet to see if there is an alternative.
