Formula One today

For those unaware 'JAFO' is Airforce 'slang' for an Ex O ....[Observer]....and that's what I am for the FIA and FIM.
This Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday marks my 31st consecutive Australian GrandPrix [26th International Formula One World Championship]
It's 'sort of' a holiday....the kind that includes standing in all weather...rain or shine....concentrating on the actions and driving 'standards' of some seriously high-paid maniacs hurtling around a street circuit lined with concrete walls at about an average of 100 mph..... with the possibility of making or breaking their 'day' with clear and precise reporting of them being 'naughty boys'.
It's the sort of holiday that requires concentration and being alert [and the clever skillz of being able to sleep while standing up - no-one knows you are asleep as they think you are 'somewhere else' listening to your headphones - so they don't bother you].
This year 'should' be fun....Schumi is back....and the last time he was at Albert Park he threw his car at me....little does he know I'm not on Turn 16 this year...I'm on Turn 11..... and besides...it'll not be a Ferrari this time...but a Mercedes instead...![]()
With a bit of luck I'll try to grab some photos....![]()

What a ****head!! Like we haven't got enough petrol heads, hoons and dipshits on our roads already, and this supposedly professional driver does something stupid like that. It's hardly the example we need shown to our young (often impressionable) drivers.
My brother was one of only 2 survivors in a carload of 7 that crashed while the driver was hooning/showing off for his mates. Oh, and the other survivor, you guessed it, was the driver... who was never dealt with seriously enough by the law and never did any jail time. Five years later he did the same thing... crashed with 5 passengers, killing all but one.
Punishment for his crime, however, was taken out of the equation this time... he was pronounced deceased at the scene. At least he won't be doing it again, but we don't need twits like Hamilton giving the impression its a cool thing to do. Frankly, I hope they throw the book at him next time he's here.... a very fucken big ginormously heavy book.

Take a complete knob, give him fame and fortune, what do you get? Someone with enough money to be an even bigger knob.
Just throw him in jail - we don't want him back.

Ah! this is what happens when to take notice of the "Save Albert Park" spokesmen on the air waves before the race. I should of treated it with a grain of salt. I blame that horrible Australian affliction I have 'the tall poppy syndrome'. ![]()
The media is giving Webber a hard time over the Hamilton issue. At a private function he called Victoria a Nanny State over the road rules. Now the police have come out complaining about what he said. The tabloids are going to have fun with this.
Webber has not had a great Grand Prix. Lets hope he will do better for the other races.

Note to all Super-Licence holders.... you ain't God and/or above the Law.
Donuts are cool. How can you be an adult about F1 or for that matter any Motor Sport? The drivers are decidedly immature anyway. Most of them are adrenaline addicted speed freaks. They risk their lifes out there anyway so let em' burn off some steam!
That is a terrible story but just like when Judas Priest was blamed for two teenagers commiting suicide in 1985, we can't blame F1 or any drivers for the stupidy of what somebody else might do on the road. Judas Priest was acquitted on all charges in 1990. There's too much blame it on somebody else going around.
I used to do donuts in the snow with my VW Bug back in the 70's after I got toasted. Almost went into a ditch once! Loved every second of it!

No, Race Officials risk THEIR lives trying to keep the drivers alive. Wait till you're in the position of knowing an Official has died [on turn three] - via the Comms network ....while you have your wife working on that corner, not knowing whether it is her or not.
Then Hamilton risks the public's lives by being an arsehole. If I had any say in it I'd have his Super Licence revoked for a season.
You know, he's generally quite free to smoke the bags on circuit just about any time he pleases, and will seldem be penalised.
Quaintly there ARE times on track if he were to do so I'd be able to ensure his arse was kicked.

Personally, I'd have his gonads evoked... for eternity.
To me, any twat who thinks a machine (or the control thereof/not of) takes precedence over life (any life) needs castrating.
I'm not normally a violent person, but sometimes the stupidity of others overwhelms me. ![]()

Hamilton really screwed up in his rental car...which was impounded after he did donuts and burnouts in a public street.
Note to all Super-Licence holders.... you ain't God and/or above the Law.
He won't be the first International driver to find himself confronted with a Fine next time he's entering the country for the next GP.
I have been 'observing' drivers' conduct for longer than most of these guys have been alive...and Hamilton has just lost all respect from this little wood duck.
There are drivers...and there are great drivers. He is just another brat with ego.
