creating WB explorer backgrounds
Thursday, January 21, 2010 by spiraldesign | Discussion: New Users
I am new to the site and to Window Blinds. I do love all the included features and textures and backgrounds, but would like to make my own explorer background. Although the option is given in WB to 'create texture' from an image file I have yet to be able to get one to apply and work once saved. The default WB explorer textures/backgrounds all work fine with the skin I am building, can apply and use any of the included ones... however the background I make by following the onscreen prompts will only show up in the WB preview, and simply does not apply when I open my explorer windows. Does this make sense? Can anyone help me with this? What am I doing wrong exactly?

What OS, I am on XP, just tested, a explorer background I created when this feature was first add will no longer apply, I have had it applied in the past. I am thinking maybe a WB update has borked something,

I'm not sure if that's the problem but most of the explorer skinned parts show up only after restarting the computer.
Try applying your background, save changes and restart the computer. If that doesn't work, try posting in the skinning forum, more chance to get help there.
Hope I could help,
good luck.
