Best format to convert to?

I'm trying to figure out how best to convert some 1280x720 HD vid's I have for use with DreamScene 3. I have several HD video's but they are currently in mp4 format which apparently the Dreamscene browser doesn't like. Which format would be best for converting my HD mp4's to, regular mpg or a wmv format?

It might be worth trying to rename the .mp4 files to .mpg and seeing what happens. Deskscapes will then see the files and it is possible the right video decoders will be loaded up.

MPEG uses less CPU than WMV but WMV has a smaller file size. Bit rate also factors in, the higher you go the better the quality but it will cause higher CPU usage.
