How to crop mp4 for dreamscene?
Sunday, January 10, 2010 by Jess McGuay | Discussion: Animated Wallpapers
Okay I have a couple mp4's that the author gave me to use for dreams. The problem I have tho is that the videos are 1280x720 so on my wide screen monitor running at 1920x1200 so when I run the vids full screen there is a small black bar at the top and bottom. Since these are RW images I don't want to "stretch them to fill the screen so how best can I crop the images so the fill the screen without the bars? I would appreciate any advice.

Ahhh, silly me I forgot with Dreams I had that option. I was afraid I'd have to re=encode/crop them so they fit right on my monitor hehe.
EDIT:
One last thing. what format do they need to be in? Currently they are MP4's which don't show up in the Dream program when I browse the folder.

Just leave them as 1280x720 and the user can select the stretching mode they would like to use from the background settings tab . They can decide if they want to have the black bars or fill the screen by cropping the left & right slightly, or just stretching it.
