Tweak 7 Auto login issue

Wednesday, January 6, 2010 by jonkjon1959 | Discussion: Windows 7

I am running windows 7 and am trying to setup tweak 7 so that i can start up without entering my password. This worked great with tweak vista but now, i am getting an error message that it cannot write to the registry key. Is there a fix for this. Thanks in advance with any help on this.

I just upgraded to Windows 7 Pro yesterday (from XP Home SP3) on my netbook... one of the setup options was to enter a password for my user account... I just skipped that step, and no password is required.  It goes straight from the welcome screen to my desktop.

Aside from re-installing Windows 7, maybe try looking in the user accounts options in the control panel... might be a way to disable the password there.

Go to Control Panel / User Accounts and Family Safety / Change your User Password / Remove Your Password

Hope this helps.
