Mike Bryant-Under Arrest?
Friday, December 18, 2009 by xfr4 | Discussion: Off-Topic
As I was reading the news a short while ago, I found a story about a person named Mike Bryant facing charges for
* Hitting a cyclist with his car
* Trying to scrape the cyclist, who clung onto his car after the collision, off by driving on sidewalks
* Finally killing the cyclist by driving his car into a mailbox.
(Just so the Mike Bryant here isn't offeneded, this person was the attorney general of Ontario, Canada, so he did nothing wrong.)

I'm just a bit confuseded here! Does this mean that our own, sweet and lovable Mike Bryant did nothing wrong... or that the other Mike Bryant did nothing wrong because he IS the attorney general of Ontario???
To clarify who's who and which who did what in the above line would save no end of confusion... particularly for those who are a bit slow, like me.
Furthermore, if in fact it was the attorney general of Ontario who collected the cyclist, would the "he did nothing wrong" bit be because the cycist was a banker, and as he IS the attorney general, is therefore well connected to the DA/prosecutor???
Yup, the charges in that case would be reduced to a minor misdemeanor. I can see the headline now: "Attorney General Guilty of Attempting to Mail Larger than Canada Post Recommended Item...Fined $20"

both!
In that case, then, the cyclist was most likely a banker... and the prosecutor will downgrade the charge to inadvertant littering near a mailbox, with mitigating circustances.
