Please read and protect your computer accordingly

There is a javascript exploit that has been compromising computers since at least December 11, 2009.

The link that I posted has the complete story. I just found out myself & thought I would spread the word at my favorite sites.

I should add that Avast seems to catch this exploit. I believe I came into contact with this virus a couple of days ago. Avast flagged it and aborted the connection to the offending website.

The log account of the event shows the virus as being  JS:Pdfka-IY [Expl]. There may be other versions of course.

I just read an article in Business Week that talks about how hackers are now going after Adobe, as Adobe has less money to combat this sort of thing than Microsoft.  Adobe missed the boat, though, as they had a security update planned and then were late at releasing it by a month.  Flash and Adobe reader are 2 methods people aren't necessarily aware that their computers could become infected.
