How do i make desktop icons use PNG's instead of .ico's?

i have icon packager, but i cant figure out how to force shortcuts to use PNG's since they are much nicer to look at in larger sizes.

With iconpackager you can't. IconX and DesktopX can both use png images for icons.

Or you could get Objectdock. You can use .png or .ico on that.

You can always load them up in Icon Developer and create some really nice icons out of them. Pretty much the same thing.

u need an app to use PNG icons for shortcut like objectDock ..... u cant do without using some app

Yes...I made some really nice icons from the pngs that Brad posted in this thread the other day.
