no video only a black screen with my desktop icons!

I bought Impulse and other stuff, I downloaded the DESKSCAPADES yesterday !!
I installed and select the World backgroung it looks amazing, but after I shutdown the PC, I restart again
I only have is the Black Backgrounf with my icons. I open the Settings and click to use the normal back grount then change \
to my old back ground but deskscapades onlY I can open the settings menu and see what backgrounds it has
but no more. !!!
