SKS not opening for "edit in sks" via WB config

Wednesday, December 2, 2009 by Bebi Bulma | Discussion: SkinStudio

I just installed SKS7, also had 6.4 installed, but WB kept opening 6.4 when I chose to edit a skin in sks from the wb config. I tried uninstalling all other versions of sks to get it to open with the new version, but it's not opening anything at all. How do I make it use the new SKS?

When I choose "edit in sks", it sends me to the sks website.

There is an issue with the registry keys being set by the installer currently.  This should be sorted later today.

Today's update didn't fix the issue for me.

Nope.

The new update removed sks6 as well, so I don't have that to fall back on anymore Now the "open this skin in skinstudio" does nothing

Mirsguy: it isn't in beta any more.

Fortunately SKS has its own skin browser.

Seems like every time there is an update to WB, you have to uninstall and reinstall SKS to get it to do that NightlightUK. I know I have to.

SKS menu - File/"Open Current Windowblinds skin" seems reliable and dodges all the SKS browsing.

Many thanks for your help sir, I have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling SKS, when I do I get an installation error message telling me to make sure the sks7 folder is in my skins folder ( which is C:\Users\Public\Public documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds ). No matter what I try sks just will not run..sigh..

ohh well...
