My DT is very clean and simple this month, I've been working on less as more. Object Dock has become one of my favorites and I find it has almost everything I need for this particular system.

WB - Azenis2 by YY. Ying

Top Dock - Darker Side by Xiandi

Bottom Dock - Darth by WebGizmos

XMAS Dock Icons by - CoolioJulio

Various other icons by many artists on WC

this not being able to post comments is becoming a pain - it seems someone is offended by my choice of che as a subject for my desktop, i cant respond and am gonna SCREAM

"

Interesting desktop but the choice of subject is questionable at least in my part of the country. There are people I know who'd equate Che with Bin Laden. So because of that I can't get behind this one. I usually don't put down a shot but because of the person in it I am this time. In other words Che offends me as an American."   chasbo

well to me its just an image and i have 2 say theres plenty that offends me however i keep them 2 myself, its not my intention 2 offend so if u dont like it dont look at it

Screaming won't change things.  This sort of thing happens sometimes...life hands you something you weren't expecting, and you can't respond in the way you intended.  It's a great growth opportunity, and you have to think outside the box to get past it.  I bestow karma on you for the growth opportunity.

This is the wrong place for talking about this. I'll have my say and that's it.

"Guevara was a reckless bourgeois adrenaline-junkie seeking a place in history as a liberator of the oppressed. But this fanatic’s vehicle of “liberation” was Stalinism, named for Soviet dictator Josef Stalin, murderer of well over 20 million of his own people. As one of Castro’s top lieutenants, Che helped steer Cuba’s revolutionary regime in a radically repressive direction. Soon after overthrowing Batista, Guevara choreographed the executions of hundreds of Batista officials without any fair trials. He thought nothing of summarily executing even fellow guerrillas suspected of disloyalty and shot one himself with no due process.

Che was a purist political fanatic who saw everything in stark black and white. Therefore he vociferously opposed freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, protest, or any other rights not completely consistent with his North Korean-style communism. How many rock music-loving teens sporting Guevara t-shirts today know their hero supported Cuba’s 1960s’ repression of the genre? How many homosexual fans know he had gays jailed?" -
Dr. Douglas Young

That's why that screenie offends me and I won't look at it again.

All that is true, Chasbro, and that's what Che means to you and the rest of the educated about Che.  To the uneducated, he's just this kinda hot Latin guy who embodies the bad boy image.  I'm pretty sure Hitler would have been more popular with the ladies if he had gotten more sun, grew his hair out and wore guy liner.  Dead guys can mean almost anything to anyone; perception IS everything.

The problem with the following statement........

This is the wrong place for talking about this. I'll have my say and that's it.

..........is it will not be over because you have your say.  I'm not saying I disagree with you, but when we as individuals decide to make a statement for everyone to either hear, see and read we have to be prepared for what follows.  Just as does the poster of the screenshot of their desktop.  Something we all should think about before we do most things we do.

What do you mean you can't add txt comments?  Isn't the very fact that you posted the above comment, evident of a text comment?  I don't understand what you mean by not adding text comments.

I'm actually very liberal poltically. I take all kinds of grief from conservatives. I'll take it that no harm was meant by the Che Christmas shot. OK Let's get by this roadblock. I remember T-shirts for girls that had BITCH on them. I thought they were offensive also but if some dumb ass wants wear it then go right ahead. Well I guess all you gotta do is go the People of Walmart website to see that sort of thing.
