Reading the article it sounds like they're still going to be a browser, they're just trying to call attention to some other stuff they're doing in conjunction with TW/AOL. Pure advertising hype.
Fittingly though, when I first opened the article it crashed IE on my computer
brought down the whole deal, closing every window that was open - pretty funny...

Seems like the marketing bobo's are just rephrasing their mission statements. Ergo, they are not out of the browser business (and that's good, for it will be a cold day in Hell before I switch over to IE and its merry band of sheep).

Truth be told, Netscape has been "out of the browser business" for years now. I can't imagine how many $$$ were spent creating NS 6.0.
