New Theme Manager Suites
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 by Philly0381 | Discussion: OS Customization
This will probably only be of interest to the folks making new WindowBlinds Themes and those downloading Theme Manager Suites.
I have updgraded my main computer system from Vista Home Premium 64 bit to Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I still have the good old XP Home 32 bit system, it just won't die.. What this means is when I'm looking for Themes to turn into Suites I will be looking for ones that atleast supports Win 7. If it supports all three OSs (XP, Vista and Win 7) all the better.
I know that not all skinners can upgrade right now to Win 7. I'll keep looking in the WC Gallery WB Library for skinner uploading Win 7 updates. When I see them I will look at making a Suite for those Themes.
I also just want to say that there have been great WindowBlinds Themes either uploaded or being currently worked on. The ability, talent and skills that the skinners in the community have is just amazing. Keep up the great work folks.
Just can't wait to see what new things folks will be able to do once Object Desktop 2010 and the other software updates are released.

I think you might want to update the SteamPunk suite, since Vampothika made that awesome IP, CursorFX and SysMetrix. I have a new wallpaper I uploaded today, too, hopefully should make it out of moderation you might want to include (maybe not?)
I have upgraded to Windows 7 and SteamPunk still looks fine in that OS.

Philly--this is one of those threads that is "invisible". If you click on OS Customization (in the upper right), you won't see this thread in the list. The only way to access it is to click on the OS Customization arrow (upper left), and then click on suites. Most people don't do that, I guess. I think it's a bit early to restrict yourself to Win 7 ready only. It looks like skins work pretty well with Win 7 anyway, and isn't there something in WindowBlinds 7 that adapts XP skins to Win 7?

Your comment about the thread being invisible is interesting. I go to the WinCustomzie forums and it shows this thread listed under recent posts. ![]()
If a skinner of a WindowBlind does not skin for a particular OS but knows that it works on it should then identifly that in thier download page description. I'm sure there are alot of members in the community that don't download a skin because the feel it won't work correctly or properly on thier system. Hmmm, not I need to go back and PM some skinners. ![]()

I think that's the reason more attention hasn't been given to this worthy thread.
