Polaris WB - WIP

tinker tinker.. hammer, smack..kick.. curse..

After doing a very dark theme, I enjoy using it so much I've decided to do another dark, but less dark theme, without the need for a substyle

I'm calling it Polaris for a couple of reasons, has rather a radioactive look and my father served as first weapons officer on the Polaris class nuclear sub H.M.S Resolution for many years. One of 4 Polaris class subs the British navy had back then, all since decomissioned. The orange really has no significance other than it is one of the better.. glowey colors and goes really well with a dark grey\blue.... oh... and it just happens to be October

Anyway.. so far so good, will post screens as I have them. I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of orange matching icons available. There are a couple of decent sets but nothing that matches perfectly and IP's recoloring feature is rather meagre. Bit disappointed on that front. Maybe a certain someone wants to step up

I see after laying some elements out together than some of the oranges need matched up slightly better... oh well.. is a WIP..It'll get sorted out... all in good time.

Cheers.

Fully understand Jack, One of these days I'm going to give it a shot even if its a small pack, drives and folders and a few apps.

Last time i tried always had jaggies around edges at various sizes with various icons, I guess thats been remedied by the look of some of the newer packs and the guichamps entries.

Perhaps I'm missing some trick, I dunno.

Doc... take a ..... chill.... pill..?

I think you have magic tricks you don't tell.  If that was done in C4D, I just gotta learn the damned program!!!

Willistuder - I cant even get them to load using the format they are in. In addition, more than likely they don't have Vista live folders being as old as they are. Closer than almost anything else I have found though.

You have to go into IconPackager, and load the ZIP into IP FROM IP. Don't unzip it first. It doesn't have Live Folders, as you say, but it's the closest thing I've found. There's black and gray along with the orange.

There's another set called Orange Glass Folders by APB, but the orange isn't nearly as close.

That tile looks great.

I could use some of that. That's a good size, too. Maybe the doctor  can dispense some of it.

Yah, C4D Jim, with a little postwork in PS. Its a massivley powerful and complicated program and quite a beast to learn from scratch without formal training. On the good side there are a lot of resources online to draw from.

I am barely scratching the surface. However if u have the time and inclination, no reason not to give it a go, certainly comes easier to some than others\me.

XP basically done..yay  moving on to Vista... More than likely will not be doing a 7 sub until WB7 taskbar issue is fixed and I've had a bit of time to immerse myself in the other areas of 7 that need attn.

Simple wbconfig window preview. Click to see clearly.
