Problem with Fences and full-screen games

Thursday, September 24, 2009 by Dovreen | Discussion: Fences

Hi, I think this is related to Fences but unsure.

When I try to play a full size screen game, and then close it, my icons on the desktop and fences become all messed up.  Try to refresh the screen and it does very little.  When moving the mouse around, this will create more icons on the desktop sometimes filling the screen with just multiple versions of what I already have.  This has been tested on several Vista 64-bit SP1 and SP2 machines.  I have tried to update all the video drivers but this still is a mystery.  Can anyone give some information please.

edit fences > tools > more tools

do you have screen resolution changes checked?

No this option was turned off.  Did find some interesting information in the Windows Event logs.  It seems that DRM gets turned off when playing the games.  If I enable it after playing the games, it works.  Sorry, just checked.  This still did not work after restarting the WDM service.  Only way to get this to work is to reboot the computer.  I will try checking the box in tools for fences.

print screen button

paste into any graphics program (paint works)

upload to a free hosting site like photobucket

copy the direct url it generates

click the insert/edit image button here (the tree to the left of the digicons)

paste the url in

Hope that will help.  If I did not get the Insert/Edit correct, let me know.
